Call of Duty Black Ops 7 arrives in November, bringing fresh maps, fan-favorite modes, and a Zombies experience, all designed to keep us coming back. The main concern for fans going into the next CoD, as always, is: have they actually made enough changes? Before launch, players will get a chance to try the game with the official beta.
Call of Duty: NEXT will also be streamed live at 9 AM PT (September 30th), giving us a better look at BO7 multiplayer, Zombies, and Warzone. Expect insight from developers at Treyarch and Raven, plus details on beta content, maps, and upcoming features.

Black Ops 7 release date & platforms
The full game launches on November 14, 2025, across PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
At release, Black Ops 7 will feature 18 multiplayer maps:
- 16 core 6v6 maps, including Blackheart, Cortex, Exposure, Imprint, The Forge, Toshin, Colossus, Den, Flagship, Homestead, Paranoia, Retrieval, and Scar.
- 3 returning classics from Black Ops 2: Express, Hijacked, and Raid.
- 2 large-scale Skirmish maps: Mission: Edge and Mission: Tide, designed for 20v20 battles with vehicles, wingsuits, and objectives.
Classic game modes like Team Deathmatch, Domination, Kill Confirmed, and Hardpoint are returning, alongside tactical staples such as Search and Destroy and Gunfight. Newcomers can look forward to Overload, a brand-new 6v6 mode centered around control of an overload device.
New Features:
Treyarch is introducing several new mechanics to shake up the formula, including:
- Overclock system for powering up abilities.
- Advanced movement tools like wall jumps and tactical sprint.
- Expanded loadout customization, perks, field upgrades, and operators.
Expect a broad arsenal of weapons, powerful scorestreaks, and gameplay designed to keep competitive matches fresh.
Call of Duty Black Ops 7 Beta dates
The Black Ops 7 beta is split into two phases: an Early Access Beta for pre orders and Game Pass subscribers, and a full Open Beta for everyone. Both sessions run across all platforms at the same time.
Early Access Beta
Starts Thursday, October 2, 2025 at 10AM PT and runs until Sunday, October 5 at 10AM PT. Available to players who pre order digitally or redeem a beta code from select physical editions. Game Pass subscribers are also included.
Open Beta
Runs from Sunday, October 5, 2025 at 10AM PT through Wednesday, October 8 at 10AM PT. Free and open to all players on all platforms.
Good news for undead fans: Zombies Survival mode will be playable during the beta, giving everyone an early taste of co-op chaos.
