Football Manager 2026 marks the most ambitious step forward in the series yet, powered by the Unity engine for the very first time. With a reimagined interface, deeper matchday realism, and the historic debut of women’s football, FM26 is set to change the way fans build their stories from the dugout.
FM26 release date & platforms
SEGA and Sports Interactive have confirmed that Football Manager 2026 will launch worldwide on November 4, 2025. The game will be available on PC, Mac, Xbox, PlayStation 5, and through Xbox Game Pass at launch.

For those playing on the go, FM26 Mobile also drops on November 4, though it will be exclusive to Netflix subscribers on iOS and Android. Meanwhile, FM26 Touch will arrive a little later on December 4, 2025, as a digital-only release on Nintendo Switch.
What’s New in FM26?
This year’s entry does more than just update transfers and tactics. FM26 is described as a full reset for the franchise:
- Unity Engine Debut – A major step forward for visuals, interface design, and long-term flexibility.
- Reimagined UI – The new Portal system makes navigating the footballing world faster and more intuitive.
- Women’s Football – For the first time, manage in the women’s game, scouting new stars and writing fresh stories.

- Full Premier League Licensing – Authentic badges, kits, and official player photos for the first time.
Pre order & early access
FM26 is available to pre-purchase now with a 10% discount. Like previous editions, an Advanced Access period is planned for PC players, allowing you to start your save a couple of weeks before launch. Pre-orders through approved retailers will unlock this benefit.
