Why we like the Corsair 5000D

Strong Cooling Potential

The Corsair 5000D Airflow is designed with high-performance cooling in mind. Its ventilated steel front panel and flexible layout allow builders to run powerful hardware without heat becoming an issue. With support for up to ten 120mm fans or multiple 360mm radiators, it’s suitable for both air-cooled and liquid-cooled setups, including push-pull configurations. That makes it a great choice for those planning high-end CPUs, large GPUs, or overclocking.

Spacious, Builder-Friendly Layout

This case gives you plenty of room to work, route cables, and upgrade later. It supports full-size ATX and E-ATX motherboards, long GPUs up to 420mm, and large power supplies, so compatibility won’t be a concern. Corsair’s RapidRoute cable system and the rear cable compartment make wiring cleaner and faster, which is especially helpful for new builders wanting a tidy final build without the usual frustration.

Modern Features and Expandability

The 5000D Airflow includes features PC builders appreciate in a modern chassis, such as a tempered glass side panel, USB-C on the front I/O, SSD and HDD support, and space for vertical GPU mounting. The internal layout offers flexibility, meaning it’s suitable whether someone is building a clean, minimalist system or a showcase build with RGB, custom cooling, and premium components. It balances practicality and aesthetics, making it a solid long-term platform for upgrades.

Why we like the Corsair Nautilus

Reliable Cooling Performance

The Nautilus 360 RS is built to handle modern CPUs, including high-end Intel and AMD chips, making it a solid option for gaming, streaming, or intensive workloads. Its 360mm radiator paired with high static-pressure fans delivers efficient heat dissipation, helping maintain stable performance even during demanding tasks. Whether you're gaming for long sessions or pushing a CPU boost clock, this AIO is designed to keep temperatures under control.

Low Noise and Smart Design

One of the standout benefits is its focus on quiet operation. With magnetic bearing fans, PWM control, and a silent pump design, this cooler stays quiet under light use but can ramp up cooling when required. Features like daisy-chained fan connectors and Zero RPM mode help simplify cable management and reduce noise, making it ideal for builders who want strong cooling without constant fan noise.

Easy Compatibility and Installation

The Nautilus 360 RS aims to take the hassle out of installation. The pre-applied thermal paste and convex cold plate help ensure proper CPU contact, and broad socket support - including Intel LGA 1851 and AMD AM5 - means it works with the latest platforms. Since it connects directly to the motherboard without requiring extra controllers or software, it’s a straightforward option for builders who want reliable liquid cooling without complicating their setup.

Who is this deal great for?

Ultimately, if you're in the market for a solid, versatile PC case and cooler combo for your next PC build, then this should be high on your list of considerations. It offers a tonne of options for DIY PC builders, and should allow you to make future upgrades to your PC long after your purchase. Best of all, it's got a huge discount right now while stocks last - making it a great gift for Christmas.

Rumored Ryzen 7 9850X3D spotted on popular benchmark suite New AMD Ryzen 7 9850X3D leaks have emerged today, not only solidifying some of the rumors we've heard of its release, but also showcasing the potential performance uplift over AMD's current best CPU for gaming, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D.

The new leak comes in the form of a Geekbench 6.3.0 entry (highlighted by a number of X tech leakers), that shows both single core and multi core benchmark performance of the rumored 9850X3D.

While it's worth taking the new leaks with a pinch of salt, rumored CPUs seen on Geekbench usually end up coming to fruition. Meaning we'll more than likely see the final few parts of AMD's Ryzen 9000 series land sometime next year - Q1 if we're lucky.

Ryzen 7 9850X3D vs 9800X3D, Geekbench scores compared

With little official information to go off, the only comparison worth noting is the Geekbench 6 single core and multi core scores for both the 9800X3D and rumored 9850X3D. This won't tell the full story, but it should give us some indication as to how the chip could perform.

BenchmarkRyzen 7 9850X3DRyzen 7 9800X3DSingle-core score3,4393,334Multi-core score17,53018,335Geekbench 6.3.0 scores. Source: Geekbench

As you can see from the table above, there's very little difference when comparing the 9850X3D and the 9800X3D. As for single core performance, the 9850X3D edges out the current flagship by 105 points. Interestingly, the 9800X3D still manages a better score over the rumored part.

It's hard to draw any real-world conclusions from the above findings, as plenty could change between now and launch date. We'll save our judgements on the new part until it officially launches and we get to give it a full review.

Ultimately, the only real takeaway here is the fact that the 9850X3D is most likely to launch under the naming. As and when it'll launch is still very much up in the air. Thankfully, AMD's CES keynote is only a few short weeks away, so chances are, we'll learn plenty more then.

Powerful RTX 5080 ASUS ROG gaming laptop gets steep Cyber Monday price drop Cyber Monday has slashed the price of this RTX 5080 gaming laptop. The ASUS ROG beast of a laptop is currently 21% off, dropping from $2,899.99 to just $2,299.99. Not only is it a pretty big saving - it's the cheapest we've ever seen this machine on Amazon US.

We're deep into the Cyber Monday sales, so there isn't much longer to grab this deal. You've got until the rest of December 1st before the sales are over. If you're in the market for a high-end gaming laptop, this is one of the best options we've seen all day.

Why we like this ASUS ROG RTX 5080 laptop

There are a few reasons why you'll enjoy this premium RTX 5080 gaming laptop.

RTX 5080, Intel Core Ultra 9 combo is perfect for gaming

Nvidia's RTX 5080 laptop GPU sits just below the flagship RTX 5090 model, but don't worry, the 5080 offers more than enough for high-end gaming on the go. The cutting-edge performance is also backed by the Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processing, giving this gaming laptop more than enough power for workflows outside of gaming, too.

You'll be able to enjoy any game you throw at it at the laptop's native resolution. As a 50 series GPU, you also get access to the full suite of DLSS 4 features for Nvidia's best upscaling tech, alongside Multi Frame Generation. Ray-traced visuals are also as optimized as ever on these 50 series GPUs.

Stunning 2.5K screen with 240Hz refresh rate

The ASUS ROG Strix G16 features a 16:10 ROG Nebula panel with a ‎2560 x 1600 resolution, which you can imagine as a 1440p screen but with more verticality. The RTX 5080 laptop GPU delivers exceptional performance to handle this native resolution. The 16-inch screen features a fast 240Hz refresh rate, too, which ensures visuals are silky smooth; support for Nvidia G-Sync also helps this massively.

'Intelligent' cooling

Keeping laptops cool can be one of the biggest challenges for manufacturers, especially for high-end hardware such as the RTX 5080 and Intel Core 9 CPU. As such, ASUS has equipped this machine with its 'ROG Intelligence Cooling' that features an end-to-end vapor chamber, three fans, and Conductonaut extreme liquid metal that's applied to the chipset for cooling. ASUS promises up to 15 degrees Celsius cooler CPU temps with this design.

Is this a good gaming laptop deal for Cyber Monday?

Thanks to a steep price drop in the wake of Black Friday deals, this ASUS ROG laptop has stuck to its all-time low price over the weekend. It's now tagged as a Cyber Monday deal on Amazon. There has been no better time to upgrade if you're interested in the powerful RTX 5080 machine. While it has a history of decent deals, the current 21% price cut is a step above the rest.

We turned to an Amazon price tracker (pictured above) to demonstrate how this current discount stacks up against the previous offers. If you're instead looking for a desktop solution for high-end 1440p gaming or the power to run 4K, we recommend a recent RTX 5070 Ti deal we featured.

4K gaming within reach as Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti drops to record-low price on Cyber Monday We've spotted an RTX 5070 Ti currently sitting at its all-time low price on Amazon. Cyber Monday is well under way, and there isn't long left to make the most of all the deals currently live. Thanks to a 10% discount on Gigabyte's gaming OC card, you can bag the RTX 5070 Ti for $819.99 right now.

The RTX 5070 Ti sits within the upper-mid range as far as Nvidia's latest RTX 50 series cards go, so you're looking at a fantastic graphics card for any resolution; it excels best in 1440p, but also has more than enough power to tackle 4K.

Why you should consider this Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti

We've highlight three key features that earn the RTX 5070 Ti our seal of approval.

4K gaming for a good price

The RTX 5070 Ti unlocks 4K performance for a fair bit cheaper than the 5080, and much, much cheaper than its flagship RTX 5090. The 5070 Ti can be compared to the last-gen RTX 4080, which, when we reviewed it, we said 4K was "a breeze" for the 4080. The 5070 Ti is a little behind in terms of rasterization, but the newer Blackwell architecture allows it to pull ahead with DLSS 4 features.

DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation

DLSS 4 is available on a range of RTX graphics cards, but Multi Frame Generation (MFG) is exclusive to the RTX 50 series. MFG is a fantastic way to boost performance in the most demanding games, and can see massive framerate gains thanks to Nvidia's latest AI-powered tech. The full suite of DLSS 4 features also helps enjoy smooth performance at 4K on the RTX 5070 Ti, including methods such as upscaling and ray reconstruction to allow amazing ray-traced visuals for a fraction of the performance cost.

16GB VRAM

The 16GB GDDR7 in this graphics card actually matches Nvidia's next step up, the RTX 5080. Considering the RTX 5080 is one of the best GPUs we've reviewed, you can't really go wrong with the 5070 Ti, as it costs over $100 cheaper but still offers enough VRAM for 4K gaming. Modern AAA games are getting more and more demanding on your video memory, so this 16GB card is a good way of future-proofing your build.

Is this a good Cyber Monday deal on the RTX 5070 Ti?

Now that it has dropped to a new low price on Amazon, it's easy to say that this is a nice deal on the Gigabyte RTX 5070 Ti. It is worth noting, however, that it hasn't quite dropped as low as Nvidia's official MSRP, but the overclocked design and triple-fan design helps add to the cost of this custom AIB from Gigabyte.

With Cyber Monday due to come to a close at the end of the day, you don't have long to make the most of this deal. So, if you're in the market for a 4K upgrade, now's the time to take the plunge.

XFX RX 9070 XT 16GB graphics card is its lowest price ever this Cyber Monday Cyber Monday is live, and just like Black Friday, there are plenty of great PC hardware deals on show. One deal we wanted to highlight is on the XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT. This is the flagship card from AMD's latest RX 9000 series - this XFX card is currently exclusive to Prime members.

The triple-fan Swift GPU is usually priced at $719.99, but during Cyber Monday, it's just $660.60 for another with an active Amazon Prime membership. This is actually the cheapest we've ever seen this particular Radeon graphics card on Amazon, so there's no better time to pick it up.

Why we like this XFX RX 9070 XT graphics card

As AMD's current flagship GPU, the RX 9070 XT has a lot going for it. Here are three key features.

Excellent 1440p and solid 4K performance

Some may not think of the RX 9070 XT as a through-and-through 4K graphics card, but it certainly has the power to run modern titles at the ultra HD resolution. We haven't tested this exact XFX card, but our friends over at PC Guide have reviewed the ASUS Prime OC model, so you can refer there for 1080p to 4K performance benchmarks.

In short, the RX 9070 is more than capable for AAA gaming at 1440p, and delivers great 4K performance for a fraction of the price of rival Nvidia's higher-end alternatives. It even comes close to the last-gen RTX 4080 in terms of 4K power.

FSR 4 exclusive

An important thing to remember with the RX 9000 series is that AMD's latest GPUs have exclusive access to FSR 4. This is AMD's latest AI-powered upscaling and frame generation technology, which comes in handy if you want to target a high resolution in the most demanding games on the market.

FSR 4 is being supported by more and more games at launch, allowing you to massively boost performance without a noticeable loss in image quality. Upscaling is a method that renders games at a lower resolution and uses AI to upscale for crisper quality. FSR 4 offers improved visuals with less shimmering and improved details when compared to FSR 3 or FSR 3.1.

16GB VRAM

AMD has always been generous with the amount of VRAM in its graphics cards. The RX 9070 XT features 16GB of GDDR6 VRAM, which is plenty enough for 1440p gaming with high graphics settings, while supporting 4K too. Some modern AAA games have become more demanding and memory-intensive, especially with higher texture settings. PC gamers like to argue about whether 8GB is good enough these days, but you can skip that discussion with the 16GB in the 9070 XT.

Is this a good Cyber Monday GPU deal?

XFX doesn't offer anything super flashy with its Swift design, but there's no reason for any of that when you're getting a great deal on a flagship GPU. As we can see from the Amazon price tracker Camelcamelcamel, the XFX Swift AMD Radeon RX 9070 XT is currently at its lowest-ever price, thanks to a sharp price drop as Black Friday and Cyber Monday sales came around.

Source: Camelcamelcamel

So, there's never been a better time to upgrade to the XFX RX 9070 XT. With a triple-fan cooling solution, you can expect to enjoy cool GPU temps while gaming on the RDNA 4 graphics card.

Cyber Monday wipes $150 off Apple AirPods Max at Amazon in limited-time deal Apple still hasn't announced the sequel to the Apple AirPods Max, but the tech giant did release a USB-C version last year. And it's the USB-C model that's currently $150 off at Amazon for Cyber Monday, carrying over from its Black Friday sales.

AirPods Max are wireless over-ear headphones that feature active noise cancellation. This makes them ideal for immersing yourself in your media, even when in a busy environment. Usually priced at $549.00, the current discount brings them down to just $399.99 - the lowest to date on Amazon.

Why we like the Apple AirPods Max

Just one color is on sale at the time of writing - Midnight, as other options have gone out of stock or returned to full price. So, if you're in the market for a pair of high-end headphones, don't miss out on this offer, as stock seems to be moving quickly.

This stylish pair of headphones is one of the more high-end options on the market, but it comes packed with a bunch of great features - and it's highly rated by reviewers.

Active noise cancellation

Apple's AirPod Max headphones are extremely effective for blocking out noise. That's obviously already one of the benefits of an over-ear design compared to AirPods (those are on sale too this weekend), but the active noise cancellation (ANC) is a large part of it. Apple claims that it "removes up to 2x more background noise" and offers "Pro-Level" ANC.

Immersive sound

These headphones are fitted with Apple's H1 chip, and an Apple-designed dynamic driver to provide high-fidelity audio. Apple's Personalized Spatial Audio technology also provides a more immersive experience with surround sound, dynamic head tracking. There is also support for Dolby Atmos sound in select songs, TV shows, and movies.

Comfortable

The knit-mesh canopy and memory foam ear cushions make the AirPods Max a comforatble fit. They also contribute to the noise cancellation effect.

Is this a good headphones deal?

It's easy to call this a great deal, just for the simple fact that this is the cheapest price we've ever seen on the AirPods Max on Amazon. Price tracking sites such as Camelcamelcamel are useful for figuring out whether a Cyber Monday deal is actually as good as it looks.

Source: Camelcamelcamel

As you can see above, the current deal is a massive price drop, and noticeably lower than the previous all-time low. So, if you've ever been interested in the AirPods Max for a while now, there's no better time to grab one.

Apple’s latest-gen AirPods are nearly half price in Black Friday Amazon deal, a brand-new low Apple launched its latest-generation AirPods 4 earbuds in September last year, and now, they're a massive 47% off during Black Friday sales. You can find them on Amazon for just $69.00, dropping way down from their usual list price of $129.00. More than ten thousand pairs have been bought on the site in the past month, so it's safe to say that these are a popular choice right now.

These are not to be confused with the most recently released AirPods, the AirPods Pro 3, which were launched a couple of months ago. Those are also on sale, but just 12% off, so if you're looking to save big, AirPods 4 are definitely the number one choice in our opinion. You may also prefer the noise-canceling edition of the AirPods 4, on sale for $99.99.

Why should you consider this AirPods 4 deal?

Apple is known for its quality, and the AirPods 4 are no different. There are a few stand-out features worth expanding on. And as always, these earbuds are perfect for pairing with your iPhone.

Excellent sound and call quality

These earbuds offer Personalized Spatial Audio, which is Apple's term for immersive surround sound, with dynamic head tracking to create a theater-like experience in a range of different media: music, TV, movies, games, and more. For extra clarity during calls, Apple has fitted these 4th-gen AirPods with its H2 chip. Features include Voice Isolation to improve the quality in busy environments.

Long-lasting battery life

Any good pair of earbuds should have long battery life. Apple says you can get up to 5 hours of listening time on a single charge with the AirPods 4, and up to 30 hours of "total listening time" while using the charging case. This generation has been redesigned to fit the Charging Case with USB-C compatibility, and is 10% smaller than the prior gen. Sadly, wireless charging is not available - that's reserved for the more expensive noise cancellation model.

Comfortable fit and durable

AirPods 4 are designed for comfort. Apple has even redesigned the form factor this time around, for "all-day comfort and greater stability". Compared to last gen, AirPods 4 have a refined contour and shorter stems, all the while finding space for "quick press" controls. These earbuds are also IP54-rated, which covers dust, sweat, and water resistance.

Is this a good deal on the AirPods 4?

One look at the price history of these AirPods will tell you that this is a fantastic deal. It's one you don't want to miss out on if you're in the market for a new pair of earbuds. Camelcamelcamel is a good resource for keeping track of product prices.

Source: Camelcamelcamel

We can see from the graph above that the AirPods 4 have hit a record-low price, thanks to a sudden drop for Black Friday. In short, there has never been a better time to pick up a pair. Whether you're buying for yourself or are already checking off your Christmas shopping list, this is a fabulous deal.

These NVIDIA 50-series gaming PC deals are the ultimate holiday gift for serious gamers SPONSORED POST

If you’re trying to pick out a Christmas present for that special gamer in your life (even if it’s just yourself), or are otherwise looking to get a powerful gaming rig for a good price, then these three prebuilt PC deals from AWD-IT are just the ticket.

We’ve selected three computers, and laid them out in order starting at the most powerful, to give you a range of options across different price points, but rest-assured even the cheapest of the three will be able to play the latest titles. Each of these PCs is centered around a graphics card from the latest NVIDIA 50-series ‘Blackwell’ GPUs. To fully unlock all the features of DLSS 4, including Multi-Frame Generation, and the enormous performance benefits these features bring (we’ll explain all this below) - NVIDIA 50-series graphics cards, with their fifth generation Tensor Cores, are the only option.

At the time of writing, each of these PCs is available for a discount to the usual MSRP. We’ve customized our selections with what we think are appropriate specifications for their intended purpose/use-case, but you can modify these further on the AWD-IT store before you purchase if there are tweaks you’d like to make. So, without further ado, let’s take a look!

Three fantastic gaming PC deals, just in time for Christmas

Our first pick, the AWD-IT AIR 5400, is the most premium of the three, and comes packing with the mighty RTX 5080 - the best graphics card for gamers that money can buy, unless you fancy forking out for the ultra high-end RTX 5090. This monster can take on any game at 4K resolution, on the highest settings, particularly when you enable DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation. This is paired with the formidable AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D - widely regarded as the top gaming CPU of its generation. Paired together, you can expect to get around 130-150 FPS at 1440p on the demanding Cyberpunk 2077 on Ultra settings and 60-70 FPS at 4K resolution, before you even enable DLSS or Multi-Frame Generation. On Ultra settings with Ray-Tracing Overdrive enabled, but DLSS & MTG turned up to the max, you could achieve up to 170-180 FPS in 4K, which is very impressive indeed.

The above components are housed in Corsair’s stunning AIR 5400 RS-R ARGB chassis, which features wrap-around tempered glass panels, a three-chamber cooling layout, and reverse-rotor ARGB fans that ensure excellent airflow and tidy cable management.

At its listed price of £1,999.99, the system includes 16GB of Kingston Fury Beast 5600 MT/s memory and a 512GB SSD. However, opting for an upgrade to 32GB RAM and 1TB of storage for an additional £125 is well worth considering for long-term performance and future-proofing.

The AWD-IT Y40 Snow White is a well-balanced upper-mid-range system built with 1440p gaming in mind, though it’s more than capable of pushing into 4K territory when DLSS 4 and MTG are used to their full potential. At the heart of the system is AMD’s Ryzen 5 7600, a chip known for fast single-core responsiveness, paired with Nvidia’s RTX 5070 - a GPU that delivers rasterised performance close to an RTX 4080, while additionally benefiting from all the 50-series extras such as DLSS 4 and Multi-Frame Generation.

In our own tests (using a Ryzen 7 9800X3D), the RTX 5070 averaged 108 FPS at 1440p Ultra in Cyberpunk 2077 without DLSS/MFG and reached around 120FPS at 4K with Ray-Tracing Overdrive when DLSS Performance and MFG 4x were enabled. Horizon Zero Dawn Remastered also posted strong numbers, hitting roughly 116FPS at 1440p max settings and 64FPS at 4K without any upscaling.

The all-white HYTE Y40 Snow White case features dual wrap-around glass panels and a striking vertically mounted GPU, with every internal component colour-matched including the RGB fans for a clean, cohesive aesthetic.

If your budget stretches an extra £200, upgrading to the Ryzen 7 7800X3D would unlock a noticeable jump in gaming performance. Even without that upgrade, though, this configuration offers excellent power for the price and is a strong choice for high-refresh 1440p gaming.

The AWD-IT Xpanse ICE White rounds out the trio, offering a similar GPU and CPU specification to the Snow White Y40 system - once again pairing the RTX 5070 with AMD’s Ryzen 5 7600 - but built around a different motherboard and a more budget-friendly AIO cooler and PSU. The Xpanse case is the most obvious difference on this particular build - a tempered-glass panel across the top provides a clear view into the system’s ARGB lighting, while the spacious ATX layout and pre-routed channels help keep internal cabling neat and unobtrusive.

We’ve already detailed some of what you can expect from the RTX 5070’s performance above, but to provide some additional data, you can expect around 90FPS in F1 24 at 1440p on max settings, and roughly 80-58FPS at 4K in Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, relying solely on raw rasterisation without DLSS or Multi-Frame Generation - enabling these features would boost your performance even more.

Although you can expect excellent results at 1440p with the build as it is, as with the other configurations, upgrading to the Ryzen 7 7800X3D - if your budget allows - will unlock noticeably stronger gaming performance thanks to the benefits of its 3D V-Cache.

Unlock the full benefits of DLSS 4 with Nvidia 50-series GPUs

DLSS Super Resolution & Ray Reconstruction

DLSS 4 comes with a raft of features that takes NVIDIA’s AI-upscaling tech to the next level. DLSS Super Resolution and Ray Reconstruction have both been improved thanks to the transition towards a transformer AI model: the former now has better detail preservation and less blur, and the latter helps produces cleaner, more accurate lighting effects with fewer artifacts. Motion handling is also improved, with fewer ghosting trails around moving objects. The end result of all this is smoother gameplay, higher frame rates, and more consistent image quality.

Multi-Frame Generation

The major performance enhancing feature that comes with DLSS 4 is Multi-Frame Generation (MFG), which builds upon the Single Frame Generation introduced with the 40–series, for performance improvements that are frankly astounding. MFG is now able to synthetically create up to three extra frames per each one that is rendered in the traditional fashion, which in practise means FPS performance uplift in games of between 2-4 times! This means that running demanding titles on the higher settings with Ray-Tracing enabled is now more accessible than ever, even if you don’t have a flagship graphics card.

Enhance your competitive gaming with NVIDIA Reflex

NVIDIA Reflex is another great technology designed by the company, with a focus towards enhancing responsiveness in competitive games, where milliseconds can mean the difference between victory and defeat. Reflex shrinks end-to-end system latency, ensuring actions are registered and displayed as quickly as possible, by optimising the pipeline between GPU, CPU, and game engine. In practical terms, this means the delay between mouse input and the on-screen response (be it a click or a movement of the mouse) is minimised. If you enable MTG in your games then Reflex is enabled by default, as it helps to cancel out the increase in latency that can occur from this feature.

Don’t miss out on these RTX 50-series powered PC deals this holiday season!

If you’re after the best in-game performance on the market, there really is no substitute for an Nvidia 50-series GPU in 2025. Between the three options we’ve selected, you should be able to find something that meets your needs and budgetary requirements, though remember you can always tweak specific features you don’t like to upgrade/downgrade them accordingly on the AWD-IT site. Black Friday deal cuts RTX 5060 Ti 8GB down to below MSRP for a limited time Anyone in the market for a budget-friendly graphics card should definitely consider the RTX 5060 Ti. Nvidia built the latest-gen model with 8GB and 16GB variants, but it's the 8GB card we're discussing today, thanks to a Black Friday offer. Usually priced at $419.99, this ASUS Dual model is now just $349.99 while the sale lasts.

Black Friday is in full swing, especially now that the day itself has arrived. Amazon may have started its event on November 20, but we imagine many people might have waited until after Thanksgiving to dive deep into the deals. If you're one of them, this 8GB card is a great budget-friendly GPU.

Why we think the RTX 5060 Ti is worth it

It's always nice to see a budget-friendly card get even cheaper. Here's what we think about this ASUS Dual OC Edition GPU.

DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation for a budget price

You can describe the RTX 5060 Ti as a mid-range GPU, and it's an obvious step above the non-Ti model, which is more reserved for 1080p performance. With the Ti model, you can push your card to 1440p in more situations. This is especially the case with DLSS 4 and Multi Frame Generation (MFG) - the latter being exclusive to the RTX 50 series.

DLSS works by running games at a lower resolution to boost frame rates and upscaling without a noticeable loss in quality. MFG is also a lifesaver, multiplying your FPS with help from AI. Since it's a budget card, cheaper access to Nvidia's latest AI-accelerated tech is a notable benefit.

Small Form Factor ready

This card is listed as an "SFF-Ready" graphics card, which means it's a versatile option for compact PC builds. The card measures just ‎229mm x 120mm x 50mm, which translates to 2.5 slot width. The dual fan design is also a space saver when compared to alternative triple-fan designs. This RTX 5060 Ti 8GB has a recommended 550W PSU, so it may fit into many existing builds without needing to upgrade your power supply, too.

Is this RTX 5060 Ti deal worth it?

This RTX 5060 Ti from ASUS is a fantastic option within the $350 range. Nvidia launched the 8GB GPU earlier in the year with an MSRP of $379, so $30 below the recommended price is a decent drop. Plus, this is a factory overclocked model, so you can expect slightly improved performance than non-OC cards out of the box.

We'd say that the only downside to this particular card is the 8GB of VRAM. The 16GB model is not discounted at the time of writing, however, so the cheaper model is definitely the one to go for if you're looking to save some cash. This GPU is a good fit for excellent 1080p and 1440p performance.

MSI Gaming RTX 5070 Ti 16GB graphics card crashes down to lowest-ever price thanks to Black Friday Black Friday is an excellent opportunity to upgrade your graphics card. Especially this year, as memory price hikes as of late threaten the cost of gaming GPUs in the new year. So, if you're in the market for a new GPU, then there's no reason to delay. We've spotted a custom MSI RTX 5070 Ti dropping close to MSRP, thanks to a decent $65 price cut on Black Friday.

The MSI Gaming RTX 5070 TI 16G Shadow 3X OC is usually listed for $834.99, but you can get it for just $769.99 right now - close to Nvidia's MSRP, and the lowest price to date on Amazon. With 16GB of RAM, this is a solid, future-proof card for 1440p and even 4K gaming.

Why you should get this RTX 5070 Ti

The RTX 5070 Ti belongs to Nvidia's RTX 50 series of graphics cards, which means it has access to Nvidia's latest set of AI-accelerated features - so it will remain relevant for many years to come.

Excellent gaming performance

Nestled between the RTX 5070 and RTX 5080, it's an excellent option for 1440p performance, while offering the power and feature-set to push solid framerates at 4K, too. DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation (MFG) is being supported by more and more AAA games these days; MFG is exclusive to the 50 series thanks to its Blackwell architecture, and helps provide a massive FPS boost. The series is also well-suited for top-tier ray tracing performance.

16GB of VRAM

There has been a lot of discussion online surrounding the amount of VRAM that a gaming GPU should have. Many enthusiasts are turning away from 8GB GPUs as modern AAA titles get more demanding on your system, so the 16GB in the RTX 5070 Ti is a nice future-proof specification. It's also worth noting that Nvidia opted for the latest GDDR7 memory standard for its 50 series cards. The additional VRAM is ideal for enjoying higher resolutions and higher texture settings in games without tanking your framerate.

Overclock & cooling

As a custom card, MSI has opted to factory overclock this model, hence 'Shadow 3X OC'. The 3X also refers to the triple-fan design, using MSI's TORX Fan 5.0 cooling fan technology to ensure high-pressure airflow, which helps keep temps low. This RTX 5070 Ti offers a 2,482 MHz boost clock speed and up to 2,497 MHz using the MSI Center Extreme OC profile. For reference, Nvidia's first-party Founders Edition card has a 2,407 MHz boost clock, so this MSI model squeezes out a little extra performance.

Is this RTX 5070 Ti good value?

You'll be glad to see that this MSI Gaming Shadow 3X OC model is actually the cheapest it has ever been on Amazon US. Price tracker site Camelcamelcamel reveals its recent price history.

Source: Camelcamelcamel

It may not be quite as cheap as Nvidia's $749 MSP, but the additional features -such as triple fan cooling, reinforcing backplate, and factory overclock are a few factors for the increased price. Now that it's $65 off for Black Friday, we'd recommend it if you want to upgrade to the latest RTX 50 series.

Powerful RTX 5080, 7800X3D gaming PC plummets to new low price in Black Friday deal It almost goes without saying that a PC powered by Nvidia's RTX 5080 graphics card and AMD's Ryzen 7 7800X3D processor is an ideal pick for high-end gaming. Usually priced at $4,399.99, this Corsair Vengeance a5100 Gaming PC has dropped by $800 to just $3,599.99.

We've already seen some amazing gaming PC deals on Amazon as part of Black Friday Week. But now that the day itself has arrived, we've spotted this fantastic high-end model from Corsair.

Why you should consider this gaming PC deal

Perhaps the first thing we should note is that we've reviewed both the RTX 5080 and the Ryzen 7 7800X3D, so we have a good grasp of how well these two components perform. You can check out some of our in-house benchmarks below. It's safe to say that this GPU & CPU combo is top-notch.

RTX 5080

We tested the RTX 5080 in a handful of games, as well as Blende. It proved to handle any game you threw at it, and access to Nvidia's latest DLSS 4 technology, including Multi Frame Generation, means you can enjoy smooth 4K performance across the board.

Ryzen 7 7800X3D

This Ryzen X3D chip may not be as powerful as its successor, the 9800X3D, but it's an excellent option for gaming and productivity alike. The 96MB of L3 Cache helps improve gaming performance, with lower latency ensuring quick access to data for games. This helps minimizes game stuttering and ups your average FPS, especially in more CPU-intensive titles.

The combination of the RTX 5080 and Ryzen 7 7800X3D are ideal for 4K gaming, so it's worth pairing this machine with one of the best 4K monitors on the market if you want to make the most of it. Failing that, 1440p is a good alternative if you want to target an even higher FPS/ monitor refresh rate.

Liquid cooling & stylish design

Corsair has fitted this rig with nine Corsair iCue Link RX 120 RGB fans, on full display thanks to the fishtank-style design with tempered glass panels on two sides. To accompany the case fans, there's also a liquid-cooled AIO CPU cooler (the iCUE LINK TITAN RX RGB) to keep the 7800X3D running as efficiently as possible. We think this a great-looking case, and a rather unique one thanks to its dual-chamber design.

Is this RTX 5080 gaming PC deal worth it?

Thanks to the sudden price drop on Black Friday, we have to say that there's never been a better time to grab this RTX 5080, 7800X3D gaming PC. A good way of seeing if a deal is really as good as it looks is by checking out price tracking sites, such as Camelcamelcamel.

Source: Camelcamelcamel

The entry for this PC shows that the price fell off a cliff as soon as Black Friday arrived, and we expect it to rise back up once all the sales are said and done. You don't have long left to make the most of the sales event, and you should view Cyber Monday on December 1 as your last chance to grab this high-end gaming PC for less than $3,600.

Black Friday arrives to slash the price of one of AMD’s best Ryzen X3D CPUs ever Black Friday has finally arrived, and there are a ton of fantastic PC hardware deals live on Amazon right now. One stand-out deal for us is on AMD's Ryzen 7 7800X3D, one of the most popular CPUs for gaming from the last-gen 7000 series. It's currently 16% off during Black Friday, dropping from $449.00 to $375.98.

Amazon has actually been running its sales event since November 20, but now that we've reached the height of the sales event, it's a good time to cram in your shopping for the best deals. This 8-core, 16-thread CPU is ideal for gaming thanks to AMD's X3D technology.

Why does the Ryzen 7 7800X3D stand out?

The first thing to mention is that we've actually reviewed the 7800X3D, giving it an 'outstanding' 4.5/5 stars, describing it as "one of the best CPUs that AMD has ever made". Sure, the newer 9800X3D has come along to best it, but while its predecessor is on sale for Black Friday, it offers excellent bang for your buck. Below you can find some in-house benchmarks for the 7800X3D.

Ryzen X3D technology

The stand-out feature of the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is its 3D V-Cache design. Ever since AMD started releasing X3D processors, the technology has proven to be a massive hit with gamers. As a result of the 3D stacked design, the 7800X3D offers 96MB of L3 Cache which helps reduces latency. This is particularly useful for games as they frequently need access to new pieces of data. The result is higher average FPS and excellent 1% lows - in other words, much fewer stutters. This can be felt more in more CPU-bound games.

Latest AM5 platform

Another great thing about the 7800X3D is that it is based on AM5 - not the older AM4 platform. AMD has kept its previous platform alive for close to a decade now, but it's a good time to upgrade to AM5 if you want to secure further longevity. We can expect AMD to continue supporting AM5 for years to come, and the 7800X3D is a good place to start if you plan for further upgrades in the future without needing to swap out you motherboard and RAM. Socket AM5 currently supports the 7000, 8000, and 9000 series processors.

Excellent efficiency

We noted in our review that the Ryzen 7 7800X3D is a very efficient processor, even when compared its successor, the 9800X3D. It has a 120W TDP, which isn't the lowest, but definitely solid for the kind of performance you get from this 8-core, 16-thread chip.

It's also not bad for multitasking, and a step above the Ryzen 5 models with their more limited 6-core design. In any case, if you want to ensure this X3D processor is running efficiently, you'll want to pair it with one of the best CPU coolers for the 7800X3D.

Who should consider this CPU deal?

Anyone upgrading to an AM5 system should consider the Ryzen 7 7800X3D. The current go-to for gaming may be the 9800X3D, but the 16% offer on the last-gen pick makes it an ideal upgrade if you want to save your pennies for other upgrades - especially with DDR5 RAM prices skyrocketing as of late.

It's also a solid choice for existing AM5 users who want to upgrade from something like the Ryzen 5 7600X to an X3D model . However, at that point, we'd probably suggest the 9800X3D if you can afford it.

Black Friday sales will be live for another few days, followed by Cyber Monday, so don't miss out.

Black Friday slashes price of iBUYPOWER RTX 5070Ti gaming PC by nearly $400 If you’re looking to upgrade to a high-end gaming desktop without pushing into ultra-premium pricing, this Black Friday price drop on the iBUYPOWER Y40 PRO is one of the strongest prebuilt offers available right now. It’s down to $1,819.99 from its $2,299.99 list price, putting a Ryzen 9 CPU, a 16GB RTX 5070 Ti GPU, 32GB DDR5, and a 2TB NVMe SSD into a clean, airflow-friendly HYTE Y40 chassis.

This configuration delivers plenty of power for high-refresh 1440p gaming, strong 4K performance, and heavy creator workloads like 4K video editing, Blender rendering, and AI-accelerated applications thanks to NVIDIA Studio support.

What you get with this gaming PC deal

Here’s the full spec list:

• AMD Ryzen 9 7900X (12-core Zen 4 CPU)• NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 16GB• 32GB DDR5-5200 RGB memory• 2TB NVMe SSD• HYTE Y40 PRO Black case with vertical GPU mounting• 240mm liquid CPU cooler• RGB fans• 802.11AC Wi-Fi• Windows 11 Home• Included iBUYPOWER RGB keyboard and mouse

The 16GB VRAM on the 5070 Ti ensures strong long-term headroom for modern titles, and the Ryzen 9 7900X is more than capable of handling streaming, multitasking, AI workloads, or timeline-heavy project files.

The 2TB SSD is a welcome addition at this price, especially compared to the 1TB drives found in many competing prebuilts. With today’s game install sizes, that extra space goes further than most people expect.

Performance expectations

Based on the hardware combination, here’s what you can expect:

• 1440p high-refresh gaming in modern AAA titles• 4K gaming with balanced settings in demanding titles• Smooth performance in CPU-heavy strategy games and large simulation titles• Faster video editing, 3D workloads, and accelerated AI features via NVIDIA Studio• Near-silent operation thanks to the 240mm liquid cooler and HYTE Y40 airflow design

Is this deal worth buying?

At $1,819.99, this configuration sits in a strong value tier for high-end prebuilts. Comparable systems with similar specs often sit between $1,999 and $2,299 outside of deal periods. The HYTE Y40 case and 240mm AIO also add premium touches that many systems skip at this price.

If you need gaming performance that comfortably handles both 1440p and 4K with creator-friendly hardware acceleration, this is an excellent buy.

Its dual-mode power design (65 W and 105 W TDP options) gives users the freedom to choose between cool, quiet operation and maximum performance when needed most.

Do you need a high-end CPU for the RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti?

The RTX 50 series represents a significant leap in GPU technology, particularly in AI-assisted performance. Nvidia’s DLSS 4 and MFG can deliver up to 3.7x the performance of their predecessors in supported titles, although raw rasterization gains are closer to 20%.

For gamers who enjoy genres like RTS or physics-heavy simulations, having a high-performance CPU is critical to avoid frame rate dips. While higher resolutions such as 1440p and 4K offload more work to the GPU, even here, a capable CPU ensures smooth gameplay, consistent frame times, and the best overall experience.

We believe the RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti are similar enough to pair with the same CPUs; we don't see a situation where one CPU would provide a particular advantage to one over the other. If there is, it will be very situational. Without solid benchmarks, we advise going for the best you can afford for both GPUs. If anything, it will only serve to future-proof your system on the CPU side.

How to avoid bottlenecking the RTX 5070 and 5070 Ti

When building a system around the RTX 5070 series, selecting the right CPU is crucial to avoid bottlenecks. Higher resolutions like 1440p and 4K place more load on the GPU, reducing the chances of CPU bottlenecking. However, if you’re playing at 1080p, you may experience CPU limitations due to the high frame rates these GPUs can push.

For gamers targeting 1080p, whether the RTX 5070 series is overkill for your needs is worth considering. These GPUs are designed for higher resolutions and demanding workloads, so pairing them with a weaker CPU or using them for low-resolution gaming diminishes their value. Both GPUs should perform similarly enough to fall into the same bracket, which should be good for 1440p and 4K in some more limited scenarios.

Final word

Pairing a CPU with a mid-range GPU is quite easy; there are a lot of options. We have narrowed it down to the best from AMD's AM5 simply because there isn't much need to go to Intel. The 9800X3D is the best, and if you can afford it, we can't recommend that enough. All the selections above are viable for both GPUs, and each will ensure you have a reliable gaming experience.

Each one has been benchmarked in real-world conditions, so you’ll see the strengths, trade-offs, and what system each chip is best suited for.

1. AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D

The Ryzen 7 9800X3D is AMD’s new crown jewel for gamers, combining high clock speeds, Zen 5 architecture, and an advanced cache layout to deliver unmatched in-game performance. With 8 cores and 16 threads, it isn’t designed to dominate workstation workloads, but that’s not the point. This CPU is laser-focused on gaming, and the results speak for themselves.

In real-world testing, the 9800X3D consistently outpaces its predecessor, the 7800X3D, with sizeable gains in both average and 99th percentile frame rates. Fast-paced titles like Counter-Strike 2 see astonishingly high numbers, while demanding open-world games such as Cyberpunk 2077 maintain smooth and stable performance even in chaotic scenes. That consistency makes it a dream pairing for high-refresh displays.

Efficiency also remains a strong suit. While not quite as frugal as the 7800X3D, the chip stays cool and controlled under load, with reasonable power draw for its class. AMD’s clever design changes, including refined 3D V-Cache placement, help keep thermals in check without sacrificing speed.

2. AMD Ryzen 5 9600X

The AMD Ryzen 5 9600X proves that entry-level doesn’t have to mean compromise. Built on the Zen 5 architecture, this six-core, 12-thread processor delivers excellent single-core speeds, which translates directly into smooth and responsive gaming performance. It’s positioned as the most affordable way into AMD’s AM5 platform, and in practice, it punches well above its weight.

In real-world benchmarks, the 9600X consistently delivers high frame rates across modern titles, even edging out pricier Intel alternatives like the Core Ultra 5 245K in gaming workloads. Games such as Counter-Strike 2 and Doom Eternal highlight just how far this chip can go, with performance numbers comfortably supporting high-refresh-rate monitors.

Thermals and efficiency are another highlight. At its default 65W TDP, it’s impressively frugal, but enabling the 105W performance mode unlocks extra headroom that keeps it competitive with mid-range rivals. Even then, power draw and temperatures remain reasonable, making it a great choice for compact or energy-conscious builds.

Of course, with only six cores, the 9600X isn’t built for heavy multitasking or demanding production workloads, but that’s not the target audience. For gamers looking for maximum value, the Ryzen 5 9600X is an outstanding budget-friendly pick that balances performance, efficiency, and affordability.

Out of the box, it runs at 65W, which makes it cooler and more frugal than many competitors, but enabling the 105W performance mode unleashes extra horsepower for those who want more consistent high-end results.

In gaming, the 9700X easily clears the 300 FPS mark in titles like CS2 and Days Gone, proving its capability for high-refresh-rate monitors. It also runs surprisingly cool for an AMD chip, rarely exceeding 70°C in demanding workloads. This efficiency makes it particularly appealing for builders who prioritize quiet, compact, or power-conscious systems.

That said, the 9700X faces tough competition. For around $100 more, the Ryzen 7 9800X3D dominates it in gaming benchmarks, while Intel’s latest chips continue to outpace it in heavy multi-core productivity. Its generational gains over the 7700X are modest, making it a questionable upgrade for current AM5 users.

4. AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D

The Ryzen 7 5800X3D was AMD’s swan song for the AM4 platform, and it arrived with something special: 3D V-Cache. By stacking an extra 64MB of L3 cache vertically, AMD transformed what was essentially a Ryzen 7 5800X into a gaming powerhouse. While clock speeds were dialed back and overclocking disabled to manage heat, the trade-off was well worth it for gamers.

Synthetic benchmarks highlighted its weaknesses, slightly lagging behind the standard 5800X and well off Intel’s 12900K in multi-core workloads. But in real-world tests, especially gaming, the story flipped. The 5800X3D consistently outperformed both the 5800X and Intel’s flagships in titles like Days Gone and Cyberpunk 2077, delivering smoother gameplay and fewer stutters even at 4K.

Hardcore Gaming Builds

Sometimes, you want to build a powerful gaming rig. You don’t care about streaming or content creation. Your bottom line is getting those high frame rates.

When it comes to a pure gaming build, speed is your friend. Unlike highly taxing programs and tasks, games aren’t as dependent on CPU cores and threads. Anything quad-core or higher is sufficient for gaming. Most games will run on a dual-core processor, but more and more games are starting to require a quad-core or higher to install and run. That being said, most modern-day CPUs come equipped with at least 4 cores.

For a hardcore gaming build, I would suggest looking for processors that have at least the following speeds: Pairing a fast processor with a good SSD, a powerful graphics card, and some quality DDR4 or DDR5 RAM will increase your FPS overall.

Casual Gaming

Maybe you don’t care about high FPS figures or saving your content for the world to see. Perhaps you’re more the casual type, the type who just likes to game now and then in your free time. AAA game titles aren't really your thing, and you don't require all that processing power.

If all you're looking for is a gaming build that will run some low-intensive Steam games and esports titles, then a casual gamer setup might be more suited to your needs. Typically, a casual gaming build doesn’t need the latest hardware offerings. It's also much more affordable than a hardcore gaming build.

When looking for a casual gaming CPU, you should look for one that is at least a quad-core if your budget allows it. It also doesn’t need to be extremely fast.

Choosing the best CPU for your needs can be a daunting task, as there are many factors to consider. Here are some tips on how to pick the best CPU for you. Overall, the best CPU for you will depend on your specific needs and budget. Consider the factors listed above and do some research before purchasing to ensure that you get the best value for your money.

Should you avoid Intel processors over AMD Ryzen?

Right now, AMD Ryzen is the safer and more compelling choice over Intel. For years, AMD’s Zen architecture has steadily pushed performance forward, and with the addition of 3D V-Cache, Ryzen CPUs have carved out a clear lead in gaming. This technology allows AMD chips to deliver smoother frame rates and stronger real-world performance, often rivaling or surpassing Intel’s best at the same price point.

Meanwhile, Intel’s 13th and 14th Gen “Raptor Lake” processors were plagued by instability issues caused by excessive voltages, leading in some cases to hardware failures. While BIOS updates have largely resolved the problem, the situation undermined confidence in Intel’s recent offerings, particularly at the high end. AMD, by contrast, has avoided such pitfalls and continues to deliver reliable processors across the stack.

It’s also important to note that at higher resolutions, games are mostly GPU-limited, meaning there’s little difference between top-end chips. That makes AMD’s value proposition even stronger: competitive performance, better efficiency, and fewer long-term concerns. Intel’s latest Core Ultra series appears to have addressed its stability issues, but for now, Ryzen remains the smarter buy for gamers building or upgrading.

Does your CPU actually matter for gaming?

The short answer is yes, but not as much as your GPU. In any gaming PC, the graphics card is the real star of the show, responsible for the bulk of your frame rates and visual fidelity. That’s why when you’re chasing higher resolutions or ultra settings, the GPU will almost always be the limiting factor.

That doesn’t mean the CPU is unimportant. Your processor is responsible for keeping your graphics card supplied with data, and if it can’t keep up, you’ll see stutters, dips, or bottlenecks even with a powerful GPU at your disposal. A weak or outdated CPU can drag down performance and leave you unable to fully take advantage of modern graphics cards.

The good news is that most mainstream CPUs today are more than capable of handling gaming workloads. The difference between a solid mid-range chip and the absolute top-of-the-line CPU usually amounts to just a handful of frames per second in real-world scenarios. The key is balance: pair a capable, modern CPU with the right graphics card, and you’ll have a system that delivers smooth, consistent performance without overspending where it won’t make a noticeable difference.

Final Word

When it comes to gaming, AMD's AM5 platform has the edge. With the Ryzen 7 9800X3D leading the pack, you’re getting unrivaled gaming performance that leaves little reason to consider Intel’s current lineup. The rest of AMD’s Ryzen 9000 series fills every budget tier - from the affordable 9600X to the powerhouse 9950X3D, while the 5800X3D remains a smart upgrade for AM4 users. Still, remember that your graphics card does most of the heavy lifting in games.

Steam Autumn Sale is about to begin, here’s the start time The Steam Autumn Sale 2025 is almost here, and PC gamers worldwide are counting down the final hours before one of Valve’s biggest discount events of the year. The sale promises major savings across thousands of titles, from indie hits to blockbuster franchises, giving players plenty of chances to grow their libraries without breaking the bank.

When Does the Steam Autumn Sale Start?

The Steam Autumn Sale officially begins today at 10 AM PT (Pacific Time). Exact times will vary depending on your region: Los Angeles (PT): 10 AM London (BST): 6 PM Berlin (CEST): 7 PM Sydney (AEST): 3 AM (next day) To make things simple, many sites and communities are running countdown timers — but if you’ve missed the clock, that just means the sale has already gone live.

How Long Does the Sale Last?

The Autumn Sale usually runs for about a week, giving players enough time to browse daily highlights, wishlist discounts, and bundle offers. Don’t wait until the last minute, though; popular games and collections tend to get spotlighted early.

We could expect to see deep cuts on classics, some older or evergreen titles may be discounted up to 90–95% off. Moderate discounts on newer games, recent releases typically see smaller reductions, often around 10–20%, though bundle packs or publisher deals sometimes sweeten the pot.

Expect horror games, survival titles, and big RPGs to headline the sale, aligning with the holiday season. Why the Autumn Sale Matters While not as massive as the Summer or Winter Steam sales, the Autumn Sale is perfectly timed for players looking to snag games ahead of the holidays, or before the big end-of-year Winter Sale hits.

It’s also a chance to pick up must-play titles at steep discounts before award season puts them back in the spotlight. So, whether you’ve had your eye on a major franchise or want to stock up on indie gems, today’s Steam Autumn Sale is your chance to grab them for a fraction of the price.
